THE ART OF EATING HUMAN BODIES.

I visited a few friends yesterday, and while having conversation, someone made mention of a documentary on the travel channel. It was about Liberia, the country that I love and cherish so dearly. I personally did not watch the documentary, but the information I got from friends made me sick to the stomach.

I was told that elements that belong to the LURD rebel movement, currently carrying out military operations against the Taylor's unscrupulous government, boasted in this documentary of eating human body. The dishearten art of eating human especially the heart, is nothing strange to Liberians. Members of the ULIMO rebel group boasted of doing the same in the past. Some elements of every warring faction involved in the Liberian civil conflict, and members of the Doe government have admitted to doing the same. While are people so astonish about this been made international? This is a characteristic some Liberians possess, and they are proud of it. On the other hand, other Liberians that don’t engage in such barbaric acts find this issue appalling.

I actually think we are reaping what we have sowed. Many years of hate, malice, animosity, and ethnic divisions are responsible for what we are now experiencing in our beloved country. I always knew that war was never the best solution to any problem. What has war done to Iraq today? “Things will improve.” Some might be saying, when? I will ask. I am a strong advocate of peace. I truly hate Mr. Taylor, but don’t think war is also the best way to solve this on going problem. War only brings untold sufferings to the vast majority, who happens to be those women and their kids that have no means to protect themselves from the evil of war. It is evident that in every arm struggle there will be uncountable civilians death. War is capable of turning a child into a heartless murderer. It is capable of making people do things out of the ordinary. So why be surprise this has happened in Liberia?

Currently in Iraq, an organization called CIVIC is trying get the figure for the number off civilians’ death during the last conflict. The actual number hasn’t been released, however these volunteers are doing this with little funding. Most of the people that have died in civil wars or arm conflict around the world have been people that were in no way directly connect with the causes of these conflicts.

My humble plead today, to all those involve in any form of struggle all over the world, is to make peace. War is not the answer. I must also reiterate: War is the worse evil that can ever be perpetrated against mankind.

Hey folks, I have not been able to do the work on the voice over IP. I worked alone yesterday, and was overwhelmed with customers hoping that I had the answers and solutions to all their questions and problems. I left and went over to see a friend that had earlier asked me to help clean her rug. I arrived home late at night and retired to bed.

I just got a call from a friend asking me if I wanted tickets to a Lucky Dube concert in the city of Philadelphia sometime in July. Wow!!! I can’t believe this. I have always missed out on his concerts here in the states. The last concert was held in New Jersey, and something popped up, and I could not attend. The tickets are been sold for $20 a piece. Anyone interested in attending the concert, contact me. I believe this will be a great experience. It seems June will be a concert month for me. I have two other Jazz concerts next month. Smooth jazz my favoriet radio station is also having a concert.

I woke up this morning with the burning desire to pursue my comedy career. I think I can make people laugh, and will start doing armature night at the comedy clubs around the city. This is something I have always wanted to do, and hopefully this will become a reality.

Well this long awaited weekend has ended. I did have a good time with my boys in New Jersey. I did not attend the reunion in Maryland, hence i have no information to post concerning the happenings. I will however get some information from my boys when I get to Philadelphia, and will post based on their explainations.
I am currently working on the piece for the VoIP, voice over IP. I downloaded a piece of work from the Internet, I will read it tonight, and will post tommorow.
so all you technology craze, I will deliver.

I am currently doing a piece on the rapidly growing VSAT technology that is making it possible for most African countries to experience high speed internet access. I will discuss some of the benefits African countries, and the continent as a whole is expected to acquire from this technology. VSAT involves the use of satellite to transmit voice and data at high speed. Avoiding the use of traditional wires as in Cable or DSL high-speed access. Following this will be another piece on the use of voice over IP. This involves using the Internet protocol commonly called IP in conjunction with TCP {Transmission control protocol} to make voice communication. IP is a connectionless protocol. TCP on the other hand provides reliable delivery of data. So when used together, this pair can perform wonders. This technology, which is currently used on a small scale, should help cut down the cost of making long distance call from Africa to other parts of the world.

This is an excerpt from an e-mail that was received from a friend of mine yesterday. I send him a e-mail asking him about the activities for the weekend in Washington D.C., and this is what he had to say about the calendar of events that will be taking place in the D.C. metropolitan this Memorial Day Weekend.

"I tell you son... It is on this wkend. DC is going to be off the hook. There are plethora of events.. .It depends what you want to do... I know St. Partricks having a welcome party at this club in MD.. I have 4 VIP Passes to DREAM night club... the crossroad will be jumping.. It was my understanding that Lady Saw will be in the house.. A friend of mine is having a party at his house.. he just got promoted to regional manager of FedEx... that is a lot of money, to prove that he just built himself a mansion there in Clinton MD... and he is having his house warming party.. I know about a Cabaret party going on in the city this girl was telling me about.. $8 to get in... and the list goes on.. IT depends what you want do.. I mean we can hit all of them up if you want... Try and see if you can stay the entire wkend.. cuz Sat. will be ridiculous with parties and events... Some friend having a boat ride party on the Potomac ( river that runs through DC). I mean the city got the wkend lock.. so see what you can do...."

Well folks, this is just one person's description of some, and I say some of the activities going down this weekend in Maryland & washington D.C.

Monday the 25th of May 2003 is Memorial Day here in the U.S. It is a day that reminds me of Decoration Day while I was a kid in Liberia. Friends and families travel far and wide to visit the graves, and tombs of their love ones. It is one of the major holidays here in the U.S. But for most foreigners, it is a time for us to travel to other states, play in soccer tournaments and attend high school reunions.

This weekend, sources tells me Saint Patrick’s and Saint Theresa Convent high schools will be having their reunion in Maryland. Wow!!!!!!!! it the place to be on such a long weekend. The last time I attended one of such reunions, it was so much fun. I met a lot of guys I actually attended St. Pats. With. For some strange reason I don’t know if I will attend this year in full.

I am making arrangement with a few of my boys to head down to Washington D.C. on Friday night to hang out. Most of the folks coming to town for that weekend will be around, and hopefully we all will have a ball, and meet some of our close buddies from high school.

What does high school reunion really means? I personally think it is a good time for schoolmates to come together and relive the old school days. It is also a time when you get to meet some guys you haven’t seen for so many years, and you have actually forgotten how they look like.

Some also go to these reunions with the hope of getting hook up. There is always a possibility of meeting someone on whom you had a long time crush, and now that some time has passed and you have gotten older, you finally make the move. Success stories? I haven’t heard of any, but won’t out rule their existence.

There are yet another group that attend to show their car, clothes, or boast of the job they have been successful in securing. Hey there is nothing wrong with showing your accomplishment, I also believe they should come with the mindset of helping someone in some way.

Finally, another group of folks will be in attendance. These are the guys and girls that must just be there. They have an obligation to attend any and every social gathering within the United States of America. They know almost everyone and can easily blend in with so much ease.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with attending a reunion. I believe everyone should strive to attend. It does not matter how you look, or what you have accomplished. Even if you were the laughing stock in high school, the fat kid, the dumbest, or whatever, make it you duty to attend and have some fun. It is worth every penny you sped getting there.

Finally terrorism has come face to face with the breeder of 14 of the September 11 hijackers. Saudi Arabia, where these guys called their country was finally hit with a series of deadly terror attacks last week. This is to further clarify the ideology of terrorism. These negatively indoctrinated, heartless, good for nothing, Individuals that strive to bring shame upon their families, and friends in the name of a jihad, Will come short of nothing to carry out their evil deeds. They will kill Christians, Jews and the same Muslim in whom interest they profess to be carrying out these attacks.

What I can indeed say today is that, the physician is now undergoing a surgery. He is experiencing what his patients undergo all the time. The only difference this time around is that the physician is the Saudis. They now know what it meant to have been in NY City on September 11.

African countries on the other hand are not doing just enough to eradicate the sleeper cells all over Africa. What they fail to realize is that those working at the foreign installations are all Africans, and some of which are Muslim.

This is becoming a global nuisance, we all can’t sit supinely and allow this wave of terror attacks to continue affecting the way we live our lives. We all must work together and succeed in wiping out this terrible infrastructure.

Why is Africa so vulnerable to terror Attacks? Is it because our security systems are not up to standard? Do we need more training on how to tackle such well planned, and organized attacks? Or are we sitting idle, and allowing a few determine Muslim fundamentalist to carry on a wave of terroristic bombings. As some are aware this is not the first of such bombings to take place in Africa. It also took place in Kenya, and another African country, if my memory serves me right.

Why are young African men the target of these so call terrorist organizations, to carry out their evil plans? One thing for sure is that most of these men are struggling to survive in their respective countries, and they are easily target. They can be provided with a better life, trained to hate everything that relates to the western culture, and swear to attack and kill westerners, especially Americans whenever given the opportunity. As a reminder, there is another group of people like Bin Laden, the head of al queada, and some of his top members that are wealthy and have degrees in the sciences and humanities. They too are also subjected to these ideas, and will fight to the end, even if it means sacrificing their lives.

I have never been a fan of war. I believe that war is the worst evil that can ever be perpetrated against mankind. This has been proven in the last two decades. On almost all corners of the earth, there has been some form of fighting, ranging from civil conflicts to change of regime, which has become the trademark of the US government.

Taking into consideration the ongoing attacks been carried out on African soil, do we sit and wait for dynamic intervention? I remember a quote from the book things fall apart:
If a man come and defecate in your house, what do you do? Do you watch him and do nothing, or do you grab a matchet and cut his head off?” Well people, we are faced with this same situation. We must now work hard to run these bandits out of our continent. Our inability to act and act swiftly will only serve as a green light for more of such terror acts to take place on African soil. Lets all of us Join the US in the global war on terrorism.

Wow!!!!!!!! Finally the indomitable LAKERS have fallen to the deserving spurs. Even the gods in high places could not impact the faith of the Lakers. This is evident that hard work eventually pays off. Tim Duncan, as a player never entertains me. His style of game is straight from the books. Well he gets his points, and is a dominant player. Sometimes it is not the fancy play that counts, it is the end result, Jeremy Russell’s Philosophy.

I don’t know what it meant been a spurs fan sitting in the arena yesterday, I might never ever experience that feeling. But I do know how been a Lakers fan yesterday felt. If you have ever supported Philadelphia 76Sixers, you know exactly what I am driving at.

I have not a single bone of hate in my body for the Lakers. If I did say I hated the Lakers, It was an understatement, I hate them with a passion, is what I actually wanted to say. Goodbye big boy shaq and little boy Kobe, it was time for you guys to actually get the feeling of working hard and having to get your butt kicked.

Props to the Lakers, they scared the hell out of me in game 5, they are definitely a good side, but as always in sports, the better side always wins. Some exceptions.

And please guys learn to accept defeat, stop crying like puppies that have fallen in a pit.
We have no word in our vocabulary called sorry, we don’t feel sorry for you guys, you played hard, but not hard enough. To all the Lakers fans, most especially Thomas Kweekeh, Lakers the team is made of players that all humans. Accept the fact, the dynasty crumbled. Lets look forward to having a new champ.

Well I finally heeded to the suggestion of my close confident and friend Uncle Tom. He suggested that I create an e-mail link for comment and suggestions. My respond was, “These are all my opinions, and I am subject to them.” Later I thought about the world we live in, how Liberal I am about other people ideas, and finally give in to his suggestion. I now have a link to my e-mail address. Bassagaryou @yahoo.com will be used for the sole purpose of comments about the log. Please also note that some comments I find interesting will be posted. I am the lion of this jungle, and I decide what is favorable to be posted, and what is not.

I know for sure this is far away from the no spin zone. I am bias by nature. As a human, I strive to be very objective, and hopefully some people will see this through my writings.
This is certainly not like the fight between the overweight Eric Passawe and I. We both have different views over some subjects, and this has started a verbal conflict.

Well Eric be ware, I will never utter another word to you until you lose some weight.

I haven’t heard from Mr. Clay-Clay in a while, anyone knowing his where about, please inform him to check out the log, and reaffirm my commitment in going along with him to Liberia to Purchase Grand Bassa County from the Taylor Government.

The reason for this, as some might be pondering, is to form Republic of Grand Bassa. This will become an indipendent country, and we hope the leaders will learn from us. We believe the government is so broke and on the verge of collapsing. Any illegal monetary transaction will certainly be in the interest of Taylor and his cronies.

Continue to check back, there are more interesting things to come. The first will be the quote of the day. “Power is like an egg, when held too loosely it will fall and break. When held too tight, it will also break.” It is time for Mr. Taylor and his band of thieves to learn how to hold the egg called power. I believe it is also too late. The die has been cast and all the life savers are gone. Liberia must be saved from Taylor and his fraudulent partners. A word of advice, leave the little girls alone, when you leave your current positions, they will have a hard time finding older men to support the life styles you have introduced to them. We are working hard to initiate a law for statutory rape.
Taylor and his cronies should not only be charged with war crimes, but crimes aginst little girls.

Keep coming back.

Wow, it is about time that something be posted to the log.
I finished recovering a IBM ThinkPad earlier today. I was later asked for the
Product code, to my surprise, they did not include the code with the package that
they send to us. My boy called IBM; they told him that he should call Microsoft for the code. How in the world will you call Microsoft for a code when they made the recovery CD for their system? Can someone explain this to me in simple English?

Two of my partners left Philly for other states. They are attending the graduation of a few of our other buddies.

What is the deal with the 76Sixers? I heard they lost their game last night. I tuned in to KYW news radio at half time, only to find out Iverson had only six points in the first half. That alone was enough to tell me exactly what path my beloved team was on.
For some strange reason, I have no confidence in the team. I hate the Lakers with a passion. You ask me why, I am against dominance. The same reason I never supported the great Bulls team that won five championships. I believe Phil Jackson is a coach with so much motivation. This compels his players to work extremely hard, no matter the time or condition.

My note book is still acting up. I am thinking about doing it over for the last time. Hopefully, someone will just give ma a notebook because i am a good guy.
I messed with a few computers at work yesterday. Nothing worth writing about. I must admit, i had the hardheaded HP that refuse to get a sound card installed. I finally found one of the many sound cards we have laying around, went to drivers guide and got the damn drivers. It finally worked with the magic touch of my man Shaggy.
By the way. shaggy is a guy who thinks i am uglier than him. To anger him even more I told him someone ask me if I was his brother cause we look alike. He got so piss. This is just a way to help pass the day by.

Listen you all, follow the ethnic clashes in Congo. What the hell is wrong with Africans? Is been black a Curse? The colonial masters did us great wrong. They divided our countries not according to tribes but on the line of resources. Some countrie have more than 20 different ethnic groups. How in the world can all these people live together and practice democracy. People in Africa will continue to vote on ethnic lines, hence, democracy, Africa will not see her fair share any time soon.

This is exactly how the Rwandian genocide started, UN and the rest of the world will continue to sideline this issue until we kill ourselves like mosquitoes in a swamp, sprayed with insecticide.
don't see "Okra and swall bone".This is exactly what is going on there in Congo. Their neighbors are all looking at Okra and trying to swallow bone. with the hope of the slime playing a major role in swalloing. Hey don't for it does not aid digestion. Ask the Rwandians, once you have been bitten by a snake even a worm frightens you. So to all my African brothers especially the congoleese, don't see the small snake lying idle and call it a worm. This is exactly what is happening. All snakes bites are dangerous, it doesn't matter if it is large or small. They are all venomous and most importantly can kill.

Has America fail yet another group of people ? The same shit happened in Haiti and Panama. The Victory was a decisive one, Bravo to coalition forces. What the hell is going on with the reconstruction team? Sending kids to school with bombs still in some of these school. Being in the front of buildings, while looters are using the back to get away with their loot.
Bush and his cronies must work hard to prevent the pattern of desertion that occured in Haiti and Panama, and has become a signature of the US government, from taking place in Iraq. Have you ever heard the President Pronounce the name of that country? Eye-raq!!! I have to question his Phonetic teacher.

What the hell was wrong with Sadam ? Did he specialize in killing people and burying them in mass graves? Oh!! his son's action can be equated to that of taylor's son. They are both ruthless and can kill for the fun of It. I hope he can be caught and place in a cage so people can go and see him. Prison will never serve him well.

Hey folks, today was a beautiful one. Believe it or not, I am using dail-up to post. This is to fulfill my commitment of posting every day.
Congratulation Uncle Tom, Your son has arrived in the US. I missed a call from tommy earlier, I believe it was to inform me of the good news.
Congratulation to all my buddies who will be graduating this weekend. I wish you all succes in your endeavors to secure decent jobs, worthy of you qualifications.
My advise is to grab whatever you can lay your hands on. Loan repayment begins 6 months from the day of graduation. There is also something called deferment, it is on of those words you hear when you get your Counseling, before your first ever loan is disbursed. I know for sure many of you never pay that word and mind. The thought then was, I would graduate a get a good job. Be happy, if you do get a job offer. Forget about a good job, and settle for any thing. Bush and his economic advisers have fucked shit up beyond terrible description. Sorry for my language, this is exactly what I am saying in side. God is definitely hearing me say this. If I can not hide my thought from the great one, why apply cosmetic to my language just to please my readers?

What a great time it will be after the recession, As some of you are aware, the uneployment rate is not actually what we all offically know it is.There are some workers who are discouraged, and believe me, when things start picking up - they too will want a piece of the pie.

Hey folks!!! Just got back from the Intel Channel Conference. I actually got there late. Not on my part, this time it was actually due to a buddy of my. However we got there at 12noon, and the confrence actually started at 8am. We both been extremely hungry, actually arrived at precisely the right time. My buddy made no mistake, he proceded directly to the tables that had the food on them. As I walked into this big hall where the food was, I have no choice but to admit, the aroma just hit me without any mercy. For your information, this was held at the Holiday Inn In King Of Prussia, PA. I also wasted no time, but followed suit and made myself a large sandwish with some cheese, tomatoes and turkey. Oh..... I forgot, they call it Turkey sandwish.
The food was Delicious. It was only a matter of minutes, and the food was fully consumed. At this time, my buddy had already done justice to his plate, and was out there looking at products from different vendors. Some of these products included Motherboards, cases, Printers, power supplies etc.
I wrapped up, collected the packages that Intel had given us upon arrival, and headed to the exhibition area where my boy was already asking some vendors questions.

The first thing that actually caught my eyes was a Server, Rack mountable by a company called Super Micro Computer Inc. What I forgot to ask the sales lady was if the board was a Intel server board. She did her best to explain some of the fearures to me. I later caught up with my boy and we proceded to a company that makes cases and power supplies.

My last stop was at Intel display table. The Intel guy did his little presentation about the Intel boards on display. Before I could proceed to the G-force display, It was time to go to the second and last session.

While I hurried to the conference room, my boy tried to get another piece of carrot cake. This boy must have been hungry. We finally made it into the hall where there was a ongoing draw for tickets we were given at the entrance when we registered.
People won some goodies ranging from Processors to Intel board, and some degital cameras. Well how could I tell if my number had been called? This pin head kept me out there waiting while he collected what left of the cake.
It was now time for ASUS to do a presentation of their Intel chipset motherboards. The dude did a great job, he might have lasted for about 30mins. It was followed by some more drawings, again, me nor my partner won a single freebe. The last presentation of the day was by the giant Intel It was about Servers. He tried to tell most of us what we already knew about servers, and concluded with a senario for each server board. This included Small bussinesses like the one I work for, to the larger ones like the one my partner Chucky aka"Chemical Ali" works for.

Most of what he talked about made a lot of sense to me. Well we all know the benefits of centralize computing, and exactly what companies can go through when their systems go down. Some may not know the benefits of servers, however, if you are reading this shit i am writing, thank God your web server is still on line. If you intend to send me a mail sometime tonight or later, praise him for your mail server.

Well Security, Reliability, Performance, and Ease of computing like file sharing, are some of the benifits of having a server. To all of you who telecommute. Your remote access server is the guy who provide the encription and Authentication when you are on the road, and have to dail into the job's network to get shit done.

Enough of that Server bullcrap, lets proceed. The intel guy finished, we had some more drawings.I did not win a thing, and walked out of the conference a prowd man. I did leave there with a wealth of knowledge as a Intel Product Dealer, and a T-shirt that I Won by hook and crook. I kept my hand up before the guy asked if anyone knew his last name. I heard someone say it, repeated his last name and won a T-shirt. WARNING!!!!! I am pleading to Chemical Ali, please do not steal this shirt when you come by.

I also read today in the papers that intel drop the prices of their P4 chips. They normally do this when they have something faster comming out. The sales rep. at the conference confirmed this to me. Watch out for the bomb gamers, more speed is around the corner.

What is up with Osama and his boy? They keep striking us. Whenever we think we' ve got them cornered, they seem to hit us even harder. They are full of surprises. I think I will hold up been a US citizen for now. You are Vulnerable to strikes from Osama, no matter your location. . We all must work to amputate the tentacles of this Octopus called terrorism. You never know when you might be at the wrong place at the wrong time.

SARS is also scareing the hell out of me. Where did this virus come from? How can we stop it from spreading? I heard you can contract it by sitting on the toilet. Well I am about to go and buy my butt mask. Oh Well... my dream of winning a Laptop at the conference never became a reality.

Until then, keep comming back.
PEACE.

I was just informed by my budddy at work about a Intel Channel Conference It is tommorwo in King of Prussia. I have already been registered by him, and will head there tomorow morning.
It one of those marketing crap by one of the big boys in the industry, if not the biggest chip manufacturer.
They tell me there will be lots of great prizes, give-a-ways, showcase vendors, fun, food, and much more.
Hopefully i get to win a notebook there tommorow. My current computer is really been a brat lately, it takes him about 15mins. to start.

I currently don't have Internet connection at home. I actually have a dail-up. I just cant use that except I have no choice. I will not be posting on sundays, except I have highspeed access. I am working on getting connected at home. Once my service is up at home, you will be reading post on sundays.
The feature that i am using for my web log, I am still not totally comfortable with. I don't know how to use spell check etc. This is where the spelling lessons comes handy. However i will refrain from using words that are a bit difficult to spell.

I believe some may want to know how i spend mother's day. Not doing shit, no drinks. I just stayed at home refusing to answer certain calls. Oh, I finally got in contact with my long lost friend Roland. I also spoke to my boy pusky in Minnesota, and Tumu Clarke who is currently in Maryland.

I was just working on a emachine, P.444 Mhz. The bitch is not powering on. I just got another power supply to try. Bingo, it worked. I also have to change the Processor. Luckly, we have a few Pentium Celeron Processors on hand. I went ahead and changed the bad boy. He worked for a while. Now the fan has stoped working. I have to now change the fan. With the new fan, the Processor is refusing to work. Isn't this a bitch? Well I will have to lave that sucker alone for a while and do something else.

Today been monday and the first day of the week is very exciting. To all the mothers, and the mothers to be, I want to wish you all a happy belated mothers day.
I left work on Saturday and headed for New Jersey with my boy Kaikor"Gus" Brown. We headed to see Jenkins "chucky" Anderson.
Unfortunately Chucky was in Newark N.J. at my buddy Kwesi crib. He succeded in convincing us to drive down there. After a brief hesitation on the part of both of us, we agreed.
We had a nice time. We started off with some Corona, Mexician beer. I later had a shot of Jamican rum, which i still felt in my system as we left Jersey late at night.I concluded my drinking sesion with a few Guiness, and a bowl of dry rice and fried fish.

Don't worry folks, I am still trying to fomat my page. The domain sweetliberia.com will also soon be up.
It will hopefully have a blog included.

Today was somewhat rainy. I woke up and slowly went to work. I really did not do a lot of computer work today. I build a PC.
I could have check a few others, but the feeling was just not there. Well I have no choice but to head to BBC, and keep up with the news and events that are making headlines in the beautiful continent of Africa.

This is an exciting experience. I now have the opportunity to express my thoughts and ideas on the free internet about what i feel is going on In my country. This is just the beginning of great things that are to come.
PEACE.
