I am thinking about starting a cleaning company, anyone with some knowledge about this kind of bussiness in the philadelphia area; the brother is open to suggestions.
My boy Jeremey just arrived from Liberia, I will catch up with him later tonight after school and we will have a little chat about the current trend of the situation in my beloved country. Hopefully I will have something to write about tommorow. I also went to church this weekend. during the morning , and later at night. I have enough blessings for a whole month.
PEACE.

Greetings my dear readers, It has indeed been a long time since I posted. I have been overwhelmed with lots of work.
However, I am happy to be back in the world of blogging. Hopefully my thoughts will become organized as soon as possible, and we as a whole can start having some very interesting discussions.
Something that has been provoking thoughts within me the last couple of days are the rate at wish the Marines deployed in Liberia had contracted Malaria. There are many questions been asked, did they take their anti-Malaria pills, are the pills defective, or is it becoming more evident that Mosquitoes are indeed becoming more intelligent.
I also learned that the Marines had mosquito repellant on their uniforms. If this is indeed true, I will have to conclude that indeed the African anopheles gambiae has become even more aggressive since I was last on the continent.
This particular species of mosquito is usually well rested during the day and set off at night to prey. It is usually during the night that this predator sets off to prey on humans and animals.
My fondest memories of mosquitoes are learning to spell the word, and the buzzing noise these little creatures made when they tried to get a bite of you, and leave you with the deadly malaria.
I wish the soldiers a speedy recovery. They did not have to do it but they did anyway.

The situation in Liberia is deteriorating, There has been reports of women been raped on both sides of the conflict. These are some of the terrible vices that innocent victims have to endure. Every faction engaged in the civil war within Liberia and neighboring countries must be brought to justice. David Crane, you are our only hope for these low, selfish, no fear of God, Idiots to be brought to justice. How can you explain the great wrong they are perpetrating against our people? This is an excerpt from the MSNBC you can read further:
Rape adds dread for war- ruined Liberia’s women. “Both sides in the West African country's war rape as casually as they loot, kill or lob munitions into populated districts, where the victims are almost always civilians.
The Hindustan times The United States has asked the Security Council to authorize immediate deployment of a multinational force with robust mandate to bring peace and enable humanitarian aid to be delivered in war-torn Liberia. This is exactly what I personally had hoped for. With a force sponsored by the UN, we can hope to achieve at least an ounce of lasting peace. All this quick fix stuff don't work.
God bless Liberia.

I am utterly furstrated with the freaking situation in Liberia. The rebels won't stop fighting, Taylor won't leave until internation troops arrive, the US won't commit troops until Taylor leaves, and more and more innocent people are indeed dying.
What a pitty!! can't we as Liberians wake up?! Can't we understand that the Americans don't have any interest in our country? Maybe if we were Europeans, we might get some form or US intervention.
Let stop fighting yah my people!!!!!!!!!!

The whole idea of the peacekeepers going to Liberia is not going to guarantee Liberians peace. ECOMOG was there in 1990, Amos Sawyer and his band of thieves were there as an Interim body, all of this was a fiasco; we still haven’t seen sustainable peace.
Hopefully things will work this time around; I pray that it indeed work. But personally, I have a lot of doubts.

I hope that the international peace force arrives in the capital as soon as possible, to prevent further blood bath. Mr. Bush has emphatically said that Taylor must leave so that the Liberian people can have peace. I think we as a people deserves peace.
I hope he listen to the international community and leave. Bush is the worse man to mess with now.
I wish you all a beautiful day. I also started a photo log. You can check it out.

I am convinced that the truce is holding for now in Liberia, however I am not totally convinced that Taylor will step down at all for the formation of an Interim government excluding him. This is a man that have been to many of such peace talks, and after he left and returned to Liberia, withdrew his signature by doing the contrary to what was agreed upon in the first place. My current concern is that people in Liberia are still dying of malnutrition, cholera, malaria and starvation. What most people don’t understand is that these can account for more deaths than those taken be the barrel of the gun. These are all silent killers stalking the population of Liberia. The international community must work towards curbing the spread of these diseases.,
Is Taylor willing to leave Liberia and get process? There is nothing called trial for Taylor at the court in Sierra Leone. There are tons of witnesses lined up to testify against him. He killed the Sierra Leonean war Lords with the hope of avoiding credible witnesses been put on the stand against him. Too bad Mr. Taylor you are going down come what may. My only concern is who will care for the little children he had by the little girls in Liberia. How will they feel when they grow up and find out that their father was the worst leader in Africa, second to none?
Well I bet that will be the responsibility of their mothers.
I am still pondering over the objective of the two rebel groups, LURD and MODEL. Are they coming to liberate or to rule? If anyone have the answer to my question please send me e-mail. There is no way the gun that Liberate will ever rule in Liberia anymore. If this is to ever happen, I will make fighting them my primary objective for the rest of my life.
I can only sit and hope for the best in Liberia. The best thing that can happen for Liberia Now is the stepping down of Taylor and him been processed by the International tribunal in Freetown. We can only hope for the speedy deployment of a monitoring force in Liberia and the peaceful resolution to the conflict.
Here is a copy of the Liberian Peace Agreement that was signed in Ghana.

How many African children actually know what it means to be a child? Not too many. Unfortunately, many children don’t know what peace really is. They were conceived during the time of war, and the only way of life they are familiar with is war. Some are forced to become the head of their families when their parents succumb to the deadly AIDS. Others are forced into child labor, and some become ruthless solders for heartless warlords all over Africa. In some African countries, men in high Governmental positions use their status to prey on young boys and girls.
It is time for Africa and Africans to give our children a normal life. We have to provide the most conducive environments where our children can once more live like the African children, where they can have access to education and affordable health care. African leaders must think about the future of Africa. How can Africa have a future when the children of Africa are not provided with the environment where they can be bred and nurtured into good future leaders?
Until we make the African child a primary objective, the future of Africa will remain questionable. We cannot achieve a great Africa in all aspects of life until we empower the children. The children is our future, we must invest in them.
Today is also the birthday of my brother Jerry; I wish him a happy birthday.
“United we stand, divided we fall”
God Bless the African Child. Long live Africa.

I finally picked up my cable modem from my ISP yesterday. I am connected via cable modem as of now, and can actually blog at night when my thoughts are flowing. I also worked on my FTP server most of yesterday. It is now up and running. There are a lot of goodies to download from there. Send me an e-mail and I will reply with the address of the server.
I am also closely monitoring the current mayhem in the capital of my country Monrovia. I pray that God provides security for all those innocent civilians that are caught up in the middle of this senseless war.
Why can’t we strive for peace in Africa? Africa is a continent full of potential. Africans should be focusing on creating opportunity for potential young Africans and not creating a bleak future.
AIDS, Faming, and Malaria are currently the primary causes of death in most African countries. Civil wars and the ethnic cleansing that goes along with them has also made a significant contribution to deaths in Africa. Are Africans too dumb to know that united we will definitely stand? It is evident that divided we have indeed fallen. Power and voracity, I believe are the root to most of our problems in Africa.
How can we jointly fight to eradicate AIDS, Malaria, and farming that have threatened our survival, when we are killing one another by the thousands? Wake up mother AFRICA!!!!! Wake up!!!!!!!! Is been black a cursed?
Was there another black male or female in the Garden of Eden that we never heard of, and was cursed by God? Did God cast a spell of eternal confusion, inability to reason, hater of peace and tranquility on this individual, and his or her offspring?
Can’t we learn to live in peace? Are the barrels of the gun the only feasible way to solve a problem? Remember, guns don’t kill people, people kill people. Stop the fighting; make us proud of our nationalities ones more. Let the positive vibes start coming out of the motherland. Once we stop the senseless fighting, together we can all build a stronger Africa for all black people. We can then tackle the problem of AIDS that is plaguing our continent and threatening our very existence.

Liberian Rebels Demand President's Resignation
VOA News
09 Jun 2003, 00:01 UTC
Delayed peace talks on Liberia are set to resume in Ghana Monday, in the wake of renewed fighting around Liberia's capital, Monrovia.
Liberia's main rebel group pushed to the outskirts of Monrovia, Sunday, sending thousands of already displaced people fleeing towards the city center.
The rebel group, the Liberians United for Reconciliation and Democracy, issued an ultimatum to President Taylor Saturday, giving him three days to step down or face a new offensive to take the capital.
In a statement, the rebels said they do not recognize Mr. Taylor as the leader of Liberia, but as a wanted international criminal.
Mr. Taylor has been indicted by a United Nations-backed tribunal for alleged war crimes in Sierra Leone.
The talks to end four-years of civil war were postponed last Wednesday as renewed fighting broke out and because envoys for another rebel group, known as MODEL, had yet to arrive.
Mr. Taylor now controls less than half-the country.
But, the Liberian leader has remained defiant, saying the capital will not fall into rebel hands. He said government troops drove the rebels back during fierce fighting Saturday. The offensive is one of the largest the rebels have made on Monrovia since they began their campaign four years ago to oust Mr. Taylor, himself a former rebel leader.
The U.N. backed war crimes court for Sierra Leone indicted Mr. Taylor last week in connection with atrocities committed by groups he supported during the 10-year conflict. The world body has accused him of amassing a fortune by fomenting regional instability.
Some information for this report provided by AP and AFP.
It is crazy in Liberia right about now. Rebels are advancing towards the capital of Monrovia. We also had a football game today. It is part of the qualification for the African cup of nations. Liberians are one strange group of people. They played an International soccer match despite all the heavy fighting going on around the outskirt of the capital. The game was against the Ethiopian national team, and we manage to win the game 1-0.
Taylor has finally been indicted for crimes against humanity. How long did this have to take? I understand it was to coincide with his arrival in Ghana, did they achieve their goal? They surely did not. The Ghanaians claimed they allowed Taylor to return home in the Interest of peace. PEACE!!!! Is that the new word for the total bloodshed that is going on in Liberia? I have only one word for the Ghanaian authorities. “Town trap is not for rat alone.” When you disappoint an individual you can easily be forgiven, but when you disappoint a people as desperate as Liberians, it takes a while for you to be forgiven.
The authorities in Ghana believed that allowing Taylor to depart their country was the best decision. I hope they made a sound decision, but I strongly believed that if Taylor was arrested, we would have been singing a different song. I also know it would have come with a price, but the price my people are paying now is one far more expensive. War is not the answer, I am pleading to all arm factions involved in the Liberian conflict to lay down their arms and negotiate in the interest of our beloved country Liberia.

Well this is an E-mail written by a young man that I love so dearly. This was posted so we all can assume the position of one of these soldiers, and for once put ourselves in their position. From his writing I can tell that he is coping with what life has to offer him at the moment, but it is tough. I admonish all my friends to pray for these guys that are putting their lives on the line.

I had a wonderful experience the last two days of my life. I was at the home of Teddy Pendergrass I. My buddy had some computer work to do for him and I accompanied him.
I heard a lot about him, but really never knew who he was. I finally met this great musician. Our meeting was one of great excitement and sadness.
I was happy to be in the company of such a great guy, but on the other hand realized how ones life can be transformed so quickly. He is now confined to a wheelchair, but still has the zest for life. This experience has changed my perception of life greatly.
We had a good time. I helped hooked up his computer, and got him online. We also bought a new all in one printer, scanner and fax that he loved. I will definitely be seeing more of him in the near future, since we have him as a client.
I am still trying to cope with the reality that my family will be coming to the US as early as this month. I am optimistic things will definitely fall in place.
Bless day.
I write with great excitement and sentimentality. I receive word today that my family will be arriving here in the US on the 23 of June. This happens to be the eve of my birth day. I always knew there was going to be a reunion with the rest of my family, but I did not know it was just around the corner. Thanks to all those that prayed for me. I now know that God works in a mysterious way. He does things when he thinks it is appropiate. He works at his time, and not that of man. I hope you all continue to pray for their smooth transition into the culture of the United States.

I visited a few friends yesterday, and while having conversation, someone made mention of a documentary on the travel channel. It was about Liberia, the country that I love and cherish so dearly. I personally did not watch the documentary, but the information I got from friends made me sick to the stomach.
I was told that elements that belong to the LURD rebel movement, currently carrying out military operations against the Taylor's unscrupulous government, boasted in this documentary of eating human body. The dishearten art of eating human especially the heart, is nothing strange to Liberians. Members of the ULIMO rebel group boasted of doing the same in the past. Some elements of every warring faction involved in the Liberian civil conflict, and members of the Doe government have admitted to doing the same. While are people so astonish about this been made international? This is a characteristic some Liberians possess, and they are proud of it. On the other hand, other Liberians that don’t engage in such barbaric acts find this issue appalling.
I actually think we are reaping what we have sowed. Many years of hate, malice, animosity, and ethnic divisions are responsible for what we are now experiencing in our beloved country. I always knew that war was never the best solution to any problem. What has war done to Iraq today? “Things will improve.” Some might be saying, when? I will ask. I am a strong advocate of peace. I truly hate Mr. Taylor, but don’t think war is also the best way to solve this on going problem. War only brings untold sufferings to the vast majority, who happens to be those women and their kids that have no means to protect themselves from the evil of war. It is evident that in every arm struggle there will be uncountable civilians death. War is capable of turning a child into a heartless murderer. It is capable of making people do things out of the ordinary. So why be surprise this has happened in Liberia?
Currently in Iraq, an organization called CIVIC is trying get the figure for the number off civilians’ death during the last conflict. The actual number hasn’t been released, however these volunteers are doing this with little funding. Most of the people that have died in civil wars or arm conflict around the world have been people that were in no way directly connect with the causes of these conflicts.
My humble plead today, to all those involve in any form of struggle all over the world, is to make peace. War is not the answer. I must also reiterate: War is the worse evil that can ever be perpetrated against mankind.

I just got a call from a friend asking me if I wanted tickets to a Lucky Dube concert in the city of Philadelphia sometime in July. Wow!!! I can’t believe this. I have always missed out on his concerts here in the states. The last concert was held in New Jersey, and something popped up, and I could not attend. The tickets are been sold for $20 a piece. Anyone interested in attending the concert, contact me. I believe this will be a great experience. It seems June will be a concert month for me. I have two other Jazz concerts next month. Smooth jazz my favoriet radio station is also having a concert.
I woke up this morning with the burning desire to pursue my comedy career. I think I can make people laugh, and will start doing armature night at the comedy clubs around the city. This is something I have always wanted to do, and hopefully this will become a reality.

Well folks, this is just one person's description of some, and I say some of the activities going down this weekend in Maryland & washington D.C.
Thursday, May 22, 2003
This weekend, sources tells me Saint Patrick’s and Saint Theresa Convent high schools will be having their reunion in Maryland. Wow!!!!!!!! it the place to be on such a long weekend. The last time I attended one of such reunions, it was so much fun. I met a lot of guys I actually attended St. Pats. With. For some strange reason I don’t know if I will attend this year in full.
I am making arrangement with a few of my boys to head down to Washington D.C. on Friday night to hang out. Most of the folks coming to town for that weekend will be around, and hopefully we all will have a ball, and meet some of our close buddies from high school.
What does high school reunion really means? I personally think it is a good time for schoolmates to come together and relive the old school days. It is also a time when you get to meet some guys you haven’t seen for so many years, and you have actually forgotten how they look like.
Some also go to these reunions with the hope of getting hook up. There is always a possibility of meeting someone on whom you had a long time crush, and now that some time has passed and you have gotten older, you finally make the move. Success stories? I haven’t heard of any, but won’t out rule their existence.
There are yet another group that attend to show their car, clothes, or boast of the job they have been successful in securing. Hey there is nothing wrong with showing your accomplishment, I also believe they should come with the mindset of helping someone in some way.
Finally, another group of folks will be in attendance. These are the guys and girls that must just be there. They have an obligation to attend any and every social gathering within the United States of America. They know almost everyone and can easily blend in with so much ease.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with attending a reunion. I believe everyone should strive to attend. It does not matter how you look, or what you have accomplished. Even if you were the laughing stock in high school, the fat kid, the dumbest, or whatever, make it you duty to attend and have some fun. It is worth every penny you sped getting there.

What I can indeed say today is that, the physician is now undergoing a surgery. He is experiencing what his patients undergo all the time. The only difference this time around is that the physician is the Saudis. They now know what it meant to have been in NY City on September 11.
African countries on the other hand are not doing just enough to eradicate the sleeper cells all over Africa. What they fail to realize is that those working at the foreign installations are all Africans, and some of which are Muslim.
This is becoming a global nuisance, we all can’t sit supinely and allow this wave of terror attacks to continue affecting the way we live our lives. We all must work together and succeed in wiping out this terrible infrastructure.
Why is Africa so vulnerable to terror Attacks? Is it because our security systems are not up to standard? Do we need more training on how to tackle such well planned, and organized attacks? Or are we sitting idle, and allowing a few determine Muslim fundamentalist to carry on a wave of terroristic bombings. As some are aware this is not the first of such bombings to take place in Africa. It also took place in Kenya, and another African country, if my memory serves me right.
Why are young African men the target of these so call terrorist organizations, to carry out their evil plans? One thing for sure is that most of these men are struggling to survive in their respective countries, and they are easily target. They can be provided with a better life, trained to hate everything that relates to the western culture, and swear to attack and kill westerners, especially Americans whenever given the opportunity. As a reminder, there is another group of people like Bin Laden, the head of al queada, and some of his top members that are wealthy and have degrees in the sciences and humanities. They too are also subjected to these ideas, and will fight to the end, even if it means sacrificing their lives.
I have never been a fan of war. I believe that war is the worst evil that can ever be perpetrated against mankind. This has been proven in the last two decades. On almost all corners of the earth, there has been some form of fighting, ranging from civil conflicts to change of regime, which has become the trademark of the US government.
Taking into consideration the ongoing attacks been carried out on African soil, do we sit and wait for dynamic intervention? I remember a quote from the book things fall apart:
“ If a man come and defecate in your house, what do you do? Do you watch him and do nothing, or do you grab a matchet and cut his head off?” Well people, we are faced with this same situation. We must now work hard to run these bandits out of our continent. Our inability to act and act swiftly will only serve as a green light for more of such terror acts to take place on African soil. Lets all of us Join the US in the global war on terrorism.
